Nicki Minaj panned for onstage exorcism at Grammys

The rapper then debuted a new song from her forthcoming album "Roman Reloaded," taking religious symbolism to a whole new level of weirdness. Her "performance" consisted of an onstage exorcism, seemingly on herself, complete with levitations, fire, lighting and gibberish. As a white-hooded, goth-like church choir sang a chilling rendition of "Come All Ye Faithful," Minaj strapped herself to a leather table and was lifted into the air as flames burned beneath.
The mood backstage was a mixture of confusion, embarrassment and offense as the performance dragged on, going deeper and deeper in mocking Catholic faith. In a pre-taped skit which was broadcast before her live showdown, Minaj sang "I Feel Pretty," while putting on lipstick to set the stage for the insanity, and the same priest-figure was brought into her room to find out what was wrong with the "sick child."
Minaj drew Lady Gaga comparisons not only for the fact she was using an abundance of sacrilegious symbols, but also because she wore a long bleached blonde wig that resembled Gaga from afar.
"No Lady Gaga performance at the 2012 Grammys? Bummer. But wanna-be controversial rapper Nicki Minaj was happy to do her best Gaga imitation," wrote the Hollywood Reporter.
And although Minaj got tongues wagging with the controversial performance, and became an instant trending topic on Twitter, it still might have cost her at least a few fans as the web blew up with outrage and amusement.
"This nicki minaj performance makes me want to fill my ears with cement then super glue my eyelids together and punch myself in the face," tweeted one viewer, while another said "religion shouldn't be disrespected like that."
Several others expressed disgust that her performance went down during Black History Month, while others simply tweeted that "she SUCKED."
In fact, there was barely a positive tweet out there following Minaj's moment in the spotlight. The critics weren't buying into it either.
"All of Minaj's sacrilegious button-pushing is bound to annoy the Christian Right, the moral majority and make a few fleeting headlines," THR added, while E! online referred to her as the "Worst Spectacle" with a "kinda silly" and "way too long" performance. Entertainment Weekly called it "a mess featuring a whole lot of religious imagery, a smattering pyro and no real messages to be found."

5 Advantages Of An Online Associate Degree_46579

As the virtual world expands in size and performance, many things have become possible that weren't before. For example, the Internet has enabled online education, such as online associate degree programs. Virtual classrooms makes higher education accessible to people who would never have been able to pursue a degree in a traditional setting, for whatever reason,Ugg Jimmy Choo Kalia, be it that they already have a full-time job, that their family obligations prevent them from attending classes, or that they are unable to make the commute.

Here are five advantages an online associate degree program can offer.

1: An online associate degree takes less time to complete. Compared with other online or offline degree programs, such as bachelor and master degree programs, an online associate degree takes considerably less time to complete. Additionally, the online format makes it easier for ambitious students to take more classes and finish their degree in a shorter time frame.

2: An online associate degree doesn't require you to commute to and from school. One of the major advantages to online degree programs is that you can get the same education without spending your precious time and gas money driving to and from your classes. Instead, you "attend" class from the comfort of your own home, using your home computer to connect with your instructors and classmates.

3: An online associate degree doesn't have a rigid schedule. If you have an odd work schedule or an inflexible boss, attending a traditional, campus-based school may not even be a possibility for you. An online degree program, on the other hand, allows you to log in to your class and perform coursework when it is convenient to you,Black Uggs Boots, whether that is first thing in the morning, in the afternoon, black uggs cheap, or late at night.

4: An online associate degree creates online community. In many ways, the virtual classroom is a friendlier place than a traditional classroom. Students in the latter typically spend the entire class listening to a lecture and taking notes, interacting with each other only minimally and sometimes only when the teacher requires it. An online classroom, on the other hand, typically has a forum where students can communicate with one another and with the teacher. This is especially appealing to students who find classroom situations intimidating.

5: An online associate degree can be completed whenever, and wherever, you please. You may learn better when you are completely comfortable. You can attend online classes in your pajamas, if you so desire. Coursework for online programs can usually be completed at any time of the day or night. Online classes work with your schedule and preferences, allowing you to do the work whenever it is most convenient for you.

With the opportunities made possible by modern technology, there is no reason why anyone who wants an education shouldn't be able to get one. An online associate degree offers many advantages over comparable traditional programs, making it an excellent option for many aspiring students.

Bad Credit Credit Cards Will Rebuild Your Credit_54282

It is perhaps unfair to label it 揵ad credit,?because despite what many of the self-righteous weasels who currently infest the nation抯 capitol would have you believe, most people who suffer from a poor credit score are not irresponsible 搒hop-a-holics?or careless, overspending consumers who need to 搕ake personal responsibility?(although admittedly, a few people are ?including several currently serving in Congress). In the overwhelming majority of cases, those who suffer from low credit scores are honest, hard-working and yes, responsible Americans who ran into trouble through no fault of their own. It may have been because their jobs were moved to China or Mexico, or suffered a major injury or accident and were dropped by their insurers, or even donned a uniform and went into harm抯 way in service to the nation and returned months later to find themselves having to cope with injuries, stress and/or unpatriotic employers who failed to keep their jobs open for them while they were overseas and were unable to secure another job.

Nonetheless, since 2001, many Americans have found themselves in the position of having to labor under a 揵ad credit score.?Sadly, the 搒ystem?doesn抰 much care how someone抯 credit score got that way; too often these days, poor credit is used as a bludgeon to unfairly punish people with everything from high interest and car insurance rates to denial of employment.

There is a silver lining for those who find themselves in this kind of a situation. Bad credit credit cards allow one to rebuild their credit status. One can apply for bad credit credit cards online and even receive instant approval. These are issued by VISA and MasterCard and are accepted by all the same merchants and service providers.

You may have heard that such a bad credit credit card have extremely high interest rates, limited lines of credit and even large annual fees. While this is true of a few bad credit credit cards, the good news is many of these cards offer amazingly favorable terms.

It is true that in the beginning, spending limits may be restricted; however, many bad credit credit cards offer credit limit increases on a regular basis (usually twice a year) once the cardholder has established a reliable payment history.

What is even better is that the regular APR in many cases is substantially lower than those offered by other credit cards ?in some cases as low as 9.75%!

Another alternative is what is known as a 搒ecured?credit card. These bad credit credit cards require a deposit against the credit limit, and have a substantially higher interest rate, but may be a good alternative for some ?and once a steady and reliable payment record has been established, it is usually possible to apply for another card with much more favorable terms.
